Sample Inventory Management System - Freezerworks
We adopt an intelligent sample-tracking system in order to track your stored stem cells efficiently and effectively as compared to manual recording systems. This system assigns a specific location for your processed sample and stores sample history information in a fully searchable database to prevent sample misplacement.

ThermoGuard– Our 24-hour Centralized Monitoring System
We store all processed cord blood units in temperature-monitored cryo-storage tanks using the ThermoGuard, 24-hour centralized system that monitors any temperature fluctuation which can affect the viability of stem cells.

Safeguard Your Stem Cells through Dual Protection
We use dual protection methods of packing - i.e. all processed cord blood units are protected with a specially designed metal cassette to give extra protection to the individual overwrapped cord blood unit. This helps to ensure constant temperature and gives double protection to your stem cells.

Safeguard Your Stem Cells in Secured and Fire Resistant Storage
Our laboratories are monitored by 24-hour CCTV / alarm and armed with a fire protection system (FM-200 Fire Suppression system for CryoPreservation) designed to maximize the safety of your precious stem cells.

CD34+ Stem Cell Count
We perform CD34+ Stem Cell Analysis and Cell Viability Test for your baby’s cord blood in fulfillment of AABB requirements using the automated FACSCalibur™ instrument. CD34+ analysis will show you the total number of CD34+ cells available while viability test will show you the total number of viable cells in your cryopreserved cord blood.

Maternal Blood Testing
We routinely perform maternal blood tests to evaluate the risk of exposure to infectious agents, as required by the AABB guidelines. This is to confirm that the cord blood stored is non-infectious. By performing cord blood screening only (without maternal blood tests), results may show negative at the initial stage; however there is a risk that the baby’s cord blood may turn infectious at a later stage if the mother is a carrier of an infectious disease. Therefore, it is imperative to store your sample with a cord blood bank which carries out maternal blood testing to ensure risk-free storage with infected samples.

Store only Disease-Free Cord Blood
At StemTech International, there will be no risk that your healthy baby’s clean cord blood may be infected by other infectious diseases from babies or mothers within the cryogenic tank as we strictly DO NOT store samples known to be positive for infectious diseases.

Store Human Stem Cells ONLY
We strictly DO NOT test, process or store NON-human cells or tissues in our laboratories. Therefore, there is no risk of cross contamination with Non-Human Specimens.
